2026 Election scorecard.

How do the parties measure up on climate, economic and Te Tiriti justice?

We asked each main party questions on key policies to respond to our changing climate, address the cost of living (focusing on housing and incomes) and honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a live scorecard, Common Grace Aotearoa welcomes information that enables us to update the scorecard and keep it as accurate as possible, based on public position statements.

Our method:

Three parties responded to our set questions (NZ First, Labour and the Green Party). We scored those parties based on their written answers, and the remaining parties based on our own research into their published policy, public statements and track records.

These questions cover the issues explored in our 3-part workshop series for churches, Thriving In This Land. They are not intended to be a comprehensive policy framework for addressing all aspects of climate, economic and Te Tiriti justice. Common Grace Aotearoa does not endorse any party or candidate.

The parties we analyse here are those who either have been polling above 5% consistently or that are currently represented in Parliament.
