Privacy Policy

Common Grace Aotearoa is committed to keeping your personal information secure and being transparent about how we collect and use your data so you can have confidence when learning about our campaigns and supporting us. We do not, and we will never, sell or rent your personal information to any entity, and we will only use your information in accordance with all applicable laws.

How we handle your contact information:

When you join as an email subscriber, take action with us, or make a donation, we collect your personal informations such as your name, email, phone number, and address so we can support you to take action with us, issue official NZ tax receipts, and keep you updated on our work. We store this information securely in restricted systems and will never sell, rent, or trade your contact information to third parties.

If you provide information as part of an online petition or message to a government, corporation, organisation, or individual, that information may be transmitted to the recipient for that purpose alone, and you may receive an email response directly from the recipient.

If you provide us with your email address, we will email you updates about the actions you take on our websites and other similar Common Grace Aotearoa campaigns, resources and appeals. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you can do so by clicking the unsubscribe link, which appears at the bottom of all emails we send.

We may also communicate through SMS or via phone if we believe you would be interested in our resources, campaigns and to fundraise unless you have expressed a preference not to receive such communication. We will always offer you an opportunity to opt out of receiving communications from Common Grace Aotearoa. Should you choose to opt out, we will take steps to ensure your details are excluded from future communications using that contact method.

How we handle your credit card details:

Your financial security is paramount to us. All online payments are handled through our secure, encrypted payment platform, which complies strictly with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

  • We do not store your card details: Your full credit card information is encrypted and transmitted directly to our secure payment gateway.

  • No one at our charity can see your card number: Our staff and volunteers only see the confirmation of payment and the last 4 digits of the card for verification purposes.

Your Rights:

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you have any questions or would like to request a copy of your info, please contact us at contact@commongrace.nz.
