Take the remind your mates challenge.

Enrol or update 5 others by 25 October. Then make sure they vote.

With just 24 days to go, official stats from the Electoral Commission show that enrolments are tracking upwards, but there's still over 370,000 eligilble people not enrolled, including 38% of 18-24 year olds.

That’s where you come in. As communities of faith we have everyday relationships and networks where we can extend care and practical support. Can you and your home group, ministry team or group of friends take up the challenge of each finding and enrolling 5 others before the Oct 25 deadline?

  • Think of 5 people in your life who have moved house recently, for whom it might be their first election since they turned 18, or might not be enrolled.

  • Sit down with them and go to vote.nz and click ‘ENROL OR UPDATE YOUR DETAILS’ ‘CHECK ONLINE’. If the result says "Please try again... Your enrolment couldn't be confirmed...", the details need updating.

  • You can complete the process online in minutes using a NZ Driver Licence, Passport, or RealMe, or by filling out a physical form and submitting it via free post, email, or uploading a photo online before midnight on October 25th.

  • Why not even make it competitive to see who can get the most enrolments in your group? Our flyer linked below outlines the simple steps to take to enrol others either online or using physical enrolment forms
